Sisters have announced their first single ‘Sweetness of things’ for release 23/07/25, set to coincide with the band’s debut American headline at the Mercury Lounge NYC. The Northwest outfit has built a reputation for their explosive, yet moving performances, boasting packed-out headlines in Liverpool and Manchester, and will now be spreading their message overseas.

Now, recorded at Motor Museum, Liverpool, ‘Sweetness of Things’ serves as Sisters’ first cohesive statement- eerie, atmospheric synths blending dream-pop influences with menacing arpeggiated guitar riffs and a gritty, stomping chorus, complementing the subtle imagery of lyricist and front woman Georgiana “Gigi” Genet.

In regards to the single, front woman Georgiana “Gigi” Genet says“We wrote Sweetness of Things to capture the feeling of fading tranquility and peace one experiences when in an abusive situation. I have found many times in my life that abuse of any kind is oftentimes inflicted on people in order to control them in some way and convince them that they have less agency over their life then they actually do, and I think the anger of watching people I love be abused has built up inside of me. I hope this song makes everyone who listens to it feel angry, safe, and ecstatic.”

Following a feature on Merseyside’s BBC Introducing on Radio 1 as well as radio plays on Amazing radio, Sisters will now release the song to all streaming platforms July 23rd.

This song was recorded in Liverpool at a studio called Motor City Museum and was engineered by Ben Harper.

See you soon.
